Low blood pressure (hypotension) is a condition that is experienced by
both practically healthy people and people with various illnesses of internal
organs or nervous system. Hypotension is generally considered to be a systolic
blood pressure less than 90 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) or diastolic less
than 60 mm Hg.
Hypotension is characterized by physical weakness, rapid fatigability, drowsiness, headaches, dizziness and syncope. There is often a predisposition to motion sickness and various vegetative manifestations: excessive sweating in the area of underarms and palms, cold hands, general disorders of thermoregulation.

Acupressure is performed by the second method with vigorous pressure on
selected acupoints with vibration and rotation during 1-2 minutes.
Point LI 4 (He Gu) is located on the
back of the hand in the corner that is formed by the 1st and 2nd metacarpal
bones, closer to the 2nd metacarpal bone.
Point HT 9 (Shao Chong) is on the radial
side of the little finger at the level of the root of the nail.
Point PC 9 (Zhong Chong) is in the center of the tip of the middle finger.
Point TH 5 (Waiguan) is located on the back of the

Meridian massage in case of hypotension
The use of a massage brush is a simple and available method of tonic and
stimulating effect on the body.
Massage with a brush is performed in the certain sequence, taking into
account the direction of energy movement through the meridians located on the
arms and legs.
Massage is done from the shoulder to the hand on the anterior surface of
the upper limbs and from the hand to the shoulder on the posterior surface.
On the lower limbs, the massage with a brush is conducted in the
following way: from the toes to the groin on the inside of the leg and from the
groin to the toes on other surfaces (anterior, posterior, outer).
Chinese massage with a brush is usually performed in the following
sequence:
1. The
left arm: first, posterior surface, then anterior one.
2. The
right arm: first, posterior surface, then anterior one.
3. The
left leg: inner, then anterior, outer and posterior surfaces.
4. The
right leg: in the same sequence as the left leg.
Chinese meridian massage is carried out in the morning. You should pass
across each side (surface) 2-3 times, using a soft but stiff brush. The
procedure should last 2-3 minutes. For prophylactic purposes, such manipulation
is done for 10-15 days, and then there should be a break for 5-7 days.
Chinese massage is also effective in case of asthenia, weakness, low
blood pressure, in the time of recovering from colds and somatic diseases.
Meridian massage with a brush is contraindicated in case of skin
diseases, varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, frank arterial hypertension,
neoplasms.
